Wythenshawe Vets Over 35s are situated in southern Manchester and compete in the Cheshire Vets League Premier Division.

Their lineup this campaign includes nine former Premier League players, with a combined over 1,800 Premier League matches.

"It's a little different but then, I enjoy running and just move inside - I'm not staying back that much," he said.

"I tell my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"That movement is what I'm after. It's good fun."

Unreal Scenario

In addition to the forward's six scores on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored eight in three games for the side, while George Boyd scored five on his first appearance and Lescott, a centre-half by trade, scored a hat-trick in one match up front.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Premier Division with three wins from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who features on the wing for the opposition, faced former Wigan full-back Figueroa on Sunday - and had to explain his nine-year-old son who Emile Heskey was.
